Professor Dr Maleeha Aslam graduated from Fatima Jinnah Medical College in 1979 and obtained her M.Phil Degree from Post Graduate Medical College, Lahore. She is the Principal and Head of the Pathology Department at Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College. She has 37 years of teaching experience in Microbiology (Pathology) in prestigious institutes like FJ Medical College and Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore. She was Director of Nursing Affairs and a Member Infection Control committee AIMC.
Prof. Maleeha has outstanding achievements in the field of Medical Research. Her main field of interest is Clinical Microbiology. She has thirty-six publications to her credit, published in PMDC-recognized periodicals. Additionally, she has supervised and co-supervised seventeen M. Phil. Thesis projects and MLT BSc projects. She has organized international and National workshops and attended numerous conferences/ seminars.
Prof. Maleeha is an examiner, paper assessor and paper setter to Undergraduates and Postgraduates in Pathology, the University of Health Sciences and Punjab University, Lahore.
She is a member of the Pakistan Medical Association (Lady Joint Secretary PMA, 1997), Pakistan Association of Pathologists, Thalassemia Society and Alzheimer Society, Lahore. She was Associate Editor of Journal AIMC (JAIMC), a Member Synopsis Committee and a Member Selection Board University of Health Sciences and Punjab University Lahore. She is the sitting President of the NGO, Jahandad Society for Community Development.
