Appeal Process

  • An appeal should be made if the author believes that reviews were not substantive or were questionable, or reasons given by the reviewers for not recommending journal publication were vague or inadequate by contacting the Editor(editorjamdc@amdc.edu.pk).

  • For submitting the appeal, the author should prepare a document providing the specific reason for appealing. The authors should provide a detailed response to each reviewer’s comments and will properly indicate changes made in the manuscript accordingly or in refutation of the reviewer recommendations.

  • It is important to justify your appeal in detail that why changes recommended by the reviewer should not be made.

  • The author will provide a final copy of his/her manuscript in which changes would be highlighted according to reviewers’ recommendation and submit a revised manuscript as well.

  • Both manuscripts will be checked by the editor.

  • The Editor will assure that the author has provided all the necessary.

  • Information and the appeal being made is reasonable or not. If the appeal is valid, the editor will accept the appeal and approve the paper for further process of publication.

  • If an appeal is not valid and the original reviews were considered valid for quality publication then the manuscript will not be forward for processing.

  • A re-review of the paper will be done by choosing potential reviewers accordingly.

  • Once the review is complete, the editor will reach a ‘publish’ or ‘no publish’ decision.

  • The Editor’s decision will be final and cannot be appealed.
