Dr. Shumaela Kanwal has graduated from Fatima Jinnah medical college in 2004. She served as medical officer National Health Research Center (Pakistan Medical and Research Council). She did M.Phil in Physiology (2008-2010) from university of Punjab. She joined department of physiology of Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College as senior demonstrator in 2010. After completion of M.Phil she was promoted to assistant professor in 2012. In 2018, she was promoted to associate professor and is affiliated with the institute as head of dental section of department of physiology.
